Dear Families,
Welcome to Michelle’s Munchkins Learning Center! I am honored that you are considering my program for your child's early care and education. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where your child feels like part of a family while learning and growing every day.
As a small, home-based program, I am able to give children personalized attention and care, while also offering structured routines that help them feel secure. Open communication with parents is a priority, and I strive to build a strong partnership with families to support each child's development.
Thank you for trusting me with your little one—together, we will create a strong foundation for their bright future.
Warmly,
Michelle
At Michelle's Munchkins Learning Center, we incorporate Montessori-inspired practices to support each child's independence, confidence, and love of learning, while still maintaining a warm, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate in-home daycare environment.
Our program is child-centered, meaning we respect each child's individual pace, interests, and stage of development. Teachers act as guides—observing, supporting, and gently encouraging learning rather than directing every activity.
Children learn best by doing. We provide hands-on materials that encourage exploration, problem-solving, and self-correction, helping children build focus and confidence through experience.
Children are encouraged to practice age-appropriate independence, such as:
These skills help children develop responsibility, self-esteem, and real-world competence.
Our space is intentionally organized, calm, and child-friendly. Materials are accessible so children can make choices independently within a safe and structured setting.
We believe children deserve respect, patience, and positive guidance. We use encouragement and redirection rather than punishment, supporting emotional regulation and social development.
Every moment of the day presents learning opportunities. From meal preparation to outdoor exploration, children engage with real-world experiences that build practical knowledge, social skills, and a natural curiosity about the world around them.
